If 'lively' is a relative concept, then "You're My Flame" is Zero 7 dancing on the tables. The cosy, normally comatosed duo, have discovered the bpm knob on their drum machine, turned it up a couple of notches and with the aid of their favourite cohort, slurry Australia chanteuse Sia, found a devilishly sweet and loved-up ditty. Their usual, warm and watery synths are present and correct to cosset and soothe with customary squelch. They just do to it a sprightly little click track which adds a burst of sunshine, and puts an irresistible spring in Sia's step. Add a pile of gloriously over the top harmonies ELO would be proud of and "You're My Flame" equals a three minute shot of head-over-heels love. Having spent years excelling themselves as, for want of a better title, The British Air, it now seems they're eyeing-up the softer side of Goldfrapp's act and it really rather suits them.
