Ignore the annoying band name, forget the yawnsome "SXSW success" marketing and feel the noise. "Let's Talk About It" is one of those tunes that comes along every once in a while and makes you forget how old and tired most guitar rock is and remember the primal thrill of a bloody great racket.
Backed by Josh Block's demented drumming and a gonzoid riff as dirty and addictive as crack, singer James Petralli howls unintelligibly, as manic and out of control as Iggy Pop on an electrified stage. Not having anywhere else to go, the song soon degenerates into ragged squawks and sonic convulsions, a long and extended wig out which is much more enjoyable than it should be. It's not a trick you'd probably want to hear repeated very often, but for four minutes it's a cheap thrill, the very best kind.
