Ahhh, Mariah, you tease, you! There you are on the cover of your new single, wrapped in a feather boa gazing forlornly into the middle distance as if to say: "That's it. This is the end of the road and the point at which we're going to head our separate ways. It's been fun but hey, I gotta go."

Sadly that's not the case. What we have is exactly the kind of syrupy, over-sugared balled from a woman who boasts an octave range to rival no one, an entourage the size of a small army and the kind of diva-like tendencies that suggest the kind of arrested development that would keep a psychiatrist in work for a lifetime.

Ultimately, this is a song that'll maintain the status quo. If you've already bought into the Mariah myth you'll love it to death as it blares from your mobile phone to the irritation of a packed bus while the haters will have their prejudices confirmed.
