Say what you like about U2 - and you don't need Yahoo! Music to detail their numerous crimes, from Bono's rampaging ego to a vapid musical blueprint that spawned a generation of purposefully bland careerists - they've never, ever been as dull or uninspired as this single, which is taken from Stereophonics' life-ending forthcoming greatest hits.

You know what it sounds like. It sounds like U2 whistling that Snow Patrol chart-topper on their way to the corner shop for a paper and a packet of fags - shimmer shimmer, plod plod. And you know what Kelly Jones sounds like too. His love affair with his own rasping voice is what stamped out any promise the Stereophonics may have shown around their passable debut album. So all you need to know is - are the lyrics any cop? "Just like Tuesday you're a new day, wakes me up, Wednesday's raining, Thursday's yearning, Friday night." Good f*cking grief.
