The current "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life" advertising campaign by arch sceptic and author of "The God Delusion" Dr Richard Dawkins is, one feels, the kind of message that hasn't got through to born again types The Fray. How else to explain the opening line of "I found God"?
At least you can't accuse The Fray of being ambiguous as here they are - ahem - nailing their colours to the mast as they big up The Man upstairs. And fair play to them; this is a democracy after all but you can't help feeling that God, if indeed He does exist, would prefer to be exalted by something more substantial than this middle of the road gruel.
Let's take The Fray at their word. This is God we're talking about, right? The creator of all the heavens and the earth and all things bright and beautiful, yes? Do you not think that God might not want to let His hair down and party? Because creation must surely be worth celebrating? This, on the other hand, makes Coldplay sound like a death metal band. And they say the Devil has the best tunes. You know what? They're right.
