With a running time of just over two and a half minutes, "Tie Me Up With Jackets" certainly pre-empts any accusations of over-staying its welcome. This is undoubtedly a good thing as prolonged exposure to the Irish quartet runs the risk of sending you half mad as a preferable alternative to this rapidly irritating ditty.

A shame as it all starts off so promisingly with a flutter of delicate and skittering keyboards that tease and flirt before letting rip with a series of shrieks and shouts that are more commonly associated with five-year-olds after a week long Red Bull bender. Being shouty is all well and good if you've actually got something to shout about but here the yelps are used to more as embellishment than anything else

Like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, the results ensure that whatever good intentions there were at the heart of the song are left battered, bludgeoned and crushed.
