The Disorient label release the debut from Mr Hermano, otherwise known as Ben Mitchell and Chris Fitzgerald, whose singles ''Corcovada'' and ''Vasco Da Gama'' have been firing up musically discerning clubs throughout the year. Mr Hermano is the pair''s Brazilian dancefloor project that employs the percussive genius of Dom Um Romao (they''ve produced a track on the Brazilian legend''s new album ''Mysterious Traveller''). Chris will be known to some as the man in charge of the frighteningly consistent Laws Of Motion label and Ben as a producer and engineer whose credits include work with Chez Damier, Atmosfear, Harvey and Faze Action. Neither has done their CVs any harm with this rich fusion of Brazilian instrumentation and studio production that will appeal to fans of Dom Um Romao''s contemporary sound. It''s clear that with Dom in charge of the rhythms little can go wrong and nothing does. The resulting album benefits from a special fusion of London dancefloor know-how and the closely guarded secrets of Brazilian rhythm known only to the few….
