Cool as f**k and warm as toast, FLC go all 'lounge' on us for their new album which consists mainly of cover versions.
The overall vibe has an early 60s feel to it and harks back to an era when men were dudes who wore dark shades, smoked big Cuban cigars and had a flotilla of 'chics' on each arm.
Cover versions include a smooth version of 'Couldn't Get It Right' by the Climax Blues Band, 10cc's 'I'm Not In Love' and a copa cabana treatment of Louis Armstrong's 'We Have All The Time In The World'.
It's easy to snipe at cover albums, but Huey and the Crim's do it in a style that makes it okay - as long as you're wearing a Hawaiian shirt and sipping cocktails on a tropical beach.
