The first new album for more than fifteen years from Culture Club sees them stepping on familiar ground as well as charting new territory. With reference to their reggae influenced sound of the 80s, tracks such as 'I Just Wanna Be Loved' and 'Your Kisses Are Charity' show that when Boy George is backed by a slow head nodding beat, pop reggae never sounded better. New styles for the nineties include the Latin house feel of 'Black Comedy', R&B ballad land on 'See Thru', the acoustic tear jerker of 'Truth Behind Her Smile' and even a cover of Bowie's 'Starman'. Boy George - it is him we really mean when we talk about Culture Club - has had a career packed full of ups and downs. 'Don't Mind If I Do' shows that Boy George as an artist has reached a assured musical level and will win him new fans as well as pleasing existing Clubbies.
