Laurent Garnier has moved on from his last techno journey, the album '30'. He attributes the move to his experiences playing live with musicians alongside him on stage. Certainly 'Unreasonable Behaviour' is a more organic work than he has attempted before while remaining within the electronica genre, and not just because he uses live musicians on some of the tracks. A moody intro sets the scene for some grippingly atmospheric tunes such as 'Forgotten Thoughts' and 'The Sound of the Big Babou' which evoke a compelling journey through a post apocalypse landscape. From there it's on to the future techno feel of the short and to the point title track 'Unreasonable Behaviour' and 'Dangerous Drive', then the more housey and funky 'Cycles d'Oppositions', 'The Man With The Red Face' and final track the Detroit inspired 'Last Tribute From The 20th Century'. A pretty damn good album really.
