Tuff Jam and Banana Republic (as TJR) created one of the scene's cornerstone anthems back in 1997, when this was first released. It was always going to be a tough call for anyone to try and better, or even equal it.
B-15 Project and Ed Case give it their best shots though on this new remix package. The original four to the floor beats are inevitably now replaced by two step rhythms with Birmingham's B-15 boys knocking out a mellow, vocodered version that, although is gently tuneful, doesn't immediately grab.
Their dub, by virtue of the plunging bassline, impacts more, and Ed Case's mix though quite sparse, features some lovely chords and a soulful vibe. But it's the original TJR Dub that stands head and shoulders above the rest, and it's the one everyone's requesting...still. Yes it's four to the floor, and yes, it's absolutely slamming.
