There's a story to this conceptual white vinyl.
Two boys met whilst batting behind the desk of Air discovered a mutual love of a 1978 post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie. They thenceforth went about creating the scenes to the sequel brave new world (which grace the insert in full glory) and went about composing a prog soundtrack for their vision to swing to.
Its expansive, space-suited, post-Barbarella funny funk electronica of a high order. Roger Joseph Manning Jr. has an impressive track record, re-mixing the likes of Air, Beck, and Jamiroquai. Brian Reitzell used to drum for Redd Kross and recently directed the sound for The Virgin Suicides. He also tours with Air.
On this LP they used all the vintage instruments and it's as analogue as Chuckie Egg. There's one vocal track, kinda Rocky Horror in Planet Krypton. Cool as Doctor Who.
