Dear HM Customs and Excise,
I am writing to complain about your shoddy service. You seem to spend all day locking up poor asylum seekers who deserve a better life, while letting Britain's finest techno talent brazenly flout the rules.
Take the case of Soma's Funk D'Void for example. May I refer you to the Techno rule book, chapter one, commandment four where it most clearly states 'techno - the sound and soul of urban decay - must be made in harsh metropolitan centres.'
This in mind, one wonders how you let Lars Sandberg, clutching plans for his great new lp 'Dos' slip through your hands to live and record in the sunny climes of Barcelona?
Detroit, Sheffield, Tokyo - these are tuff raw techno cities.
But Barcelona? I can just picture the law breaking musician now, sitting in cafes, listening to the new string-lead techno opus that is 'Dos.'
The catchy b-line monster 'To Ya Waistline' causes particular sadness, seeing as it should be rocking English clubs like Bugged Out, Fabric and The End as we speak.
All this now won't be possible. Please buck up your ideas before Layo & Bushwacka!, CiM or Dave Angel get ideas...
Yours
Martin
