Label honchos 23 Skidoo have been threatening to delve into the Ronin record vaults and unleash unreleased and hard to find tracks for some time now.
Here they finally do it, plucking out tracks such as Skitz and Phi-Life Cypher's storming 'Cordless Mic at 20 Paces', Mud Family featuring Skinnyman and Mongo's 'Itchy Town', and Skitz and Rodney P's reverberating collaboration with Supanatchius 'The Killing'.
They also throw in the odd new track from MCD, while Deckwrecka supplies no fewer than nine chopped up slabs of funky breaks.
Skitz's contributions are as on form as ever, with tracks such as his Skeleton collaboration, 'Minout', adding deep end dub bass lines to crystal production sensibilities and imaginatively sourced ideas.
But the predatory misogynist bragging in a majority of the lyrics grates, even if you accept it's lineage from Jamaican sound system comically overblown boasting.
True tracks such as H.A.H. featuring H.E.L's 'It's Magic' momentarily broaden the horizons, but sadly these are the exceptions.
If you think a track called 'Revolution' could contain more lyrical content than: 'Girls with big titties that we like to play with', you might want to pass on this.
Really not one for the ladies.
