Featuring Robbie Williams, yes really, Michael Stipe (Mr. LA), Baaba Maal, DJ Swamp, Neneh Cherry, Maxi Jazz, Eddie Reader and other less known platinum selling artists from developing countries, it's a first class journey.
The new territory warriors travelled for about six months picking up grooves from say, Ugandan drummers on week then sampling them to Indian Sarangi players the next.
Collaging these layers on the road created some maverick beds and feeds for the following 18 months post-production.
The multi media project is , of course, multi-layered. A DVD of the journey is to follow in March.
Chartering technology with the stars of our 21st centruy celebrity galaxy is a big achievement, to do it as commercially as this is success. Expect much more of this type of work.
