Paris based label, Wagram, have followed-up their Paris and Berlin based Lounge compilations with this focus on London.
And while it's a decent compilation, Lounge, like chill out, is always a difficult category.
Certainly the tracks here on CD one at least are mostly downbeat and, even when they're more uptempo on CD two, they're definitely not banging.
But do we really want to reduce the Ballistic Brothers' classic early Nineties nu jazz excursion 'Blacker' to being lounge. And what are we supposed to make of Kenny Hawkes' 'Play The Game' being included, or the acidic break-step bouncement of Roots Manuva's 'Witness Dub' for that matter.
But this aside there's little wrong with the collection here and as a description of music that could be played in a London bar in 2002/3 it's not off the mark.
It trawls through the back catalogue while keeping a breast of fresher outings and comes up with a reasonably broad sweep (if somewhat dominated by Ninja and Grand Central).
And it's not often you find the artists above nestled beside each other on a compilation, alongside Fingathing, Two Banks Of Four, Only Child, Herbert, 4 Hero, Faze Action, DJ Food and Smith And Mighty.
On the other hand there's a certain deja-vous about this, a bit like discovering the DJ before you has got exactly the same records in their box.
