The Resonate series returns with a second instalment of some of the grittiest hard trance on the block.
The first volume scored for its truly club feel: 'Resonate 2' matches it tough beat to tough beat. It never lets up as it offers tracks from key labels in the genre: Tidytwo, Nukleuz, Drizzly Records and Above The Sky.
Not to mention some of the most prolific artists such as: Rob Tissera, Guyver, Miss Behavin', Paul Maddox and Revolution 9.
The Freak kicks off the comp with 'The Melody, The Sound', a wondrous slice of Dutch madness: forget fields of tulips, this is Amsterdam on the wild side. And Freakophiles are in luck as the comp also includes 'Addictive' .
Then it's off to Germany and Flutlicht's 'The Fall', an imposing swirl of supremably danceable ruff and tumble top lines and arpeggiated synth.
There's no let up with Tidy producer Guyver's darkly demented, out-in-space tune 'Man On The Moon' or the equally huge 'Differences' or with DJ Meister's 'Can U Feel It', a really solid tune with full-on banging drums, an inspiring catchy riff and that friendly, oh-so-familiar vocal sample.
Other highlights include Club Wizards' 'Floorburn' , a bouncy little number with its tongue-in-cheek vocal sample, Rob Tissera's atmospheric and monumental 'Burn', Primemover's weighty 'Feel What I Feel' with a spine-chillingly portentous vocal and, if you like ultra hard, one of the best tunes on the album is the body-rocking mega-sounds of DJ Mill & Manuel T's 'Trust No 1'.
And it just keeps on going from there with great tunes from the likes of DJ Meister, Matt Silver, Stimulator, Tomcat, Club Wizards, O.G.R., Carl Nicholson and James Lawson, DJ Snowman, Dave 202 & Phil Green, Driftwood, Travel, Agent Plant, Dave Holmes, Steve Hill and Apoptygma Berzerk.
