By now the 'Blueprints' series should have followed the pattern of most of these kinds of thing and either dried up, withered and disappeared or become a terrible cheesy version of its original incarnation.
Instead volume three is probably the best outing so far.
Which says as much about the music they've chosen to focus on as it does about the a&r behind the project.
The 'Blueprints' field is deep and jazzy house, which naturally wanders (restlessly no doubt) into Phil Asher territory, although for the most part this stays closer to deep rather than soulful house.
The DJ chosen to combine the selected tracks this time around is Steve Jones of The Aloha Pussycats and one of the pleasures of the album is his leisurely pace of mixing.
As a whole this is a hypnotic, building groove of well-matched and pitched records. But of course there are standout tracks amongst the totally agreeable selection.
Gaspard's 'Good Enough' is a spot-on understated title for a perfectly balanced, restrained funky dancefloor filler while JP Parikka' 'One Life' makes the case for deep house, which despite being over-played for the last four years or so, can still be a vibrant and warm music form.
Sheffield outfit Swag return to classically bumpy house for inspiration for their re-working of Nile's '3 In Tha Morning' and Annie's Madonna sampling 'Greatest Dub' should have been spun by all those DJs who played Metro Area's 'Miura' last year.
Finish techno jazzer and occasional electro clasher Jori Holkkonen plays acid 303 games with Olli Ahvenlahti's 'Countenance'.
But the real joy here is Nuspirit Helsinki's 'Trying (Capoiera Twins Murakawa Mix)'. It's been around for a year now, but still sounds completely fresh.
