Jimi dropped the lounge bar jazz and sifted through his old Parliament/Funkadelic collection when coming up with the inspiration for this one. Add a little bit of deep house and garage and you have the hybrid creation that is Year Of The Apocalypse. Despite the generic confusion, this undoubtedly has some commercial appeal and no doubt comes packaged with a suitably off-the-wall video, don’t be surprised if it crops up high in the charts.
