When Johnny Marr told us that the new Electronic material would see a return to his axe-wielding ways we couldn't have imagined he meant a song with an intro that sounds like Bigmouth Strikes Again with a tranquilliser dart in its hide. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, particularly when the accompanying harmonica and the absence of a drum machine lends this, the first single from the forthcoming Twisted Tenderness album, a  distinctly Babylon era Rolling Stones air. Bernard Sumner's vocal drifts across Marr's strident if unremarkable guitar landscape but somehow we expected  a little more of them. Let's hope the album surpasses this somewhat tentative return.
