Hey, 'old fashioned in a white boy plays dreamy pop' kinda way it may be, but if this single doesn't become the soundtrack to this summer then I'm a Frenchman. Brian (aka Ken Sweeney) is Irish and sounds like the result of a bizarre pop experiment involving the Go-Betweens and Prefab Sprout. The song's deceptive simplicity and singalong two-note see-saw chorus is its secret and if Ken, sorry Brian, doesn't make it onto TOTP with this, alors, je mangerai mon chapeau. AS
