After an eight year hiatus, 80s reggae-pop swinger Scritti - aka Green Gartside - returns with a slice of smooth R&B. 'Tinseltown To The Boogie' features rappers Mos Def and Lee Majors as well as Me'Shell Ndegeocello on bass and Scritti on the chorus with his typical ethereal vocal style.  It's great but it's pushing it to call it a Scritti Politti release as all the action's in the rapping by Lee and Mos.  Quite a strange choice for the first release from his 'Anomie & Bonhomie' album really.
