Pretenders' current live show opener sees Chrissie Hynde in attack mode as she playfully dismisses the generation (is it just the one?) of pop girlies that have followed her as plastic, surgically enhanced hit makers, with a dashing slice of rock 'n' roll and a sign off refrain of  'no, they don't make 'em like they used to'. It's not quite as great a pop song as its predecessor, 'Human', but the band's profile may be higher now, they were great at the Fleadh, and this could threaten the top 20. Like Ms. Hynde cares, right?
