For those of you expecting more big disco sounds following on from 'Canned Heat', Jamiroquai's first release from their new album, you might be in for quite a shock. 'Supersonic' has a much darker feel with a hypnotic didgeridoo sound and a heavy bassline which wouldn't be out of place on a rave track. In fact, with all the sounds swirling around the track, it almost sounds psychedelic. Quite an unusual choice for a second single as it will be interesting to see how radio takes to the moody atmosphere of 'Supersonic'. Still, like most Jamiroquai tracks, after repeated hearings it will grow on you. MW
