It seems like a gross miscalculation to release 'Afrika Shox' - a track as dated as the illiteration suggests - as the first single from Leftfield's long overdue and feverishly awaited second album.

Why, oh why is 'Phat Planet' - quit with the daft spellings now that's enough! - the B-side to this release?

Vastly superior, this track's exposure via the Guinness advert justifiably raised expectations for the album and it seems that, despite a flash Chris Cunningham video, 'Afrika Shox' has only succeeded in deflating them.

Still, with the current general appreciation for all things musically naff related to the 80s... you never know. Much better mixes come courtesy of the Jedi's and Dave Clarke ('Phat Planet').
