Kicking off the new year in style, All Seeing I follow their acclaimed Top 15 hit The Beat Goes On with a song that sees them spinning off in completely different but smart direction. Sixties cabaret crooner Tony Christie supplies the smooth Jarvis Cocker-penned lyrics over a vaguely lounge backing, until the song turns into a swaggering techno stomp for the finale. At the time of going to press, this track was on Radio One’s B-list, and is likely to gather momentum across radio formats into 1999. Fun, leftfield pop at its best and a deserved hit.
