Gentleman Thief - 'Jam The Channel'
(Monday November 8, 1999 6:44 PM )

Released on 01/11/1999
Label: Master Detective

Justin Robertson returns under his Gentleman Thief guise to turn out a superb slice of dubbed out deep house for the main title track. In fact, with it's echo snares and vocal snippets 'Jam The Channel' would give the Mad Professor a run for his money in the bending frequency stakes. It works on a minimal groove level especially with its xylophones and misty morning sounding keys that gives it that crusty, free-party type feel - and that's definitely a compliment. Other two tracks - 'Spectres' and 'Watching The Rain' - are also both very workable.
