Wamdue Project is actually the brainchild of Chris Brann who originally made tunes in the early 90s for parties in Atlanta as Wamdue Kidz along with cohorts Deep C and Udoh. Recording as Wamdue Project, 'King Of My Castle' is taken from his second album 'Program Yourself' and originally came out last summer but failed to take off chartwise, despite being a massive club tune. This time around the tune was seriously taken in hand by Italian remixer Roy Malone aka Walterino. The Italian magic worked wonders and, like this summer's other big Euro smashes Eiffel 65 and Lou Bega, the result is a record that has been a massive club and radio hit all over Europe and looks destined to chart this time around. Its bouncy four- on -the floor vibe and irritatingly catchy vocal hook are a cut above most other Euro dance tunes. There are three mixes on the single - Roy Malone's King Radio Edit is the one you'll hear on the radio and for good reason. It stands out as stronger than the rest in its arrangement, sounds, vocal effects and chunky drum sounds. The Armin Van Buuren remix is a harder beast with a tuff kick drum, distorted vocals and a nod to funk with some crisp guitar licks, while the Bini & Martin '999' mix is softer and trancier but doesn't quite have the bite of the other two.
