A return to familiar territory for Celine, following her less than successful dabbling with R&B on 'Treat Her Like A Lady'. Produced by Max Martin of Britney and Backstreet Boys fame, 'That's The Way It Is' is a typically unthreatening tale of love set to an even less threatening musical accompaniment. It has the anthemic element that seems to be an essential ingredient in these releases and is no doubt garnished by a lovely soft-focus video promo.
