Basically yer average batucada jam from Airto Moreira calling an unusual amount of attention to itself courtesy of a Fosters advertising campaign. The original is a typically intricate percussion workout with all the requisite whistling but without the frenzied pitch changes that often accompany a batacuda (on that tip look out for 'Batacuda Per Favour' on the Bongo back-catalogue). Pete Heller is called in to remix and add a few elements to endear this to a broad audience - no doubt an explanation for the appearance of the old kick drum. Shame on you Mr Heller - nothing detracts from the pleasure of a complex rhythm more that a bloody 4/4 mate! So, amazingly, it would seem that this is destined for some sort of commercial success which would be fantastic!
