It's been over a year since Italian house duo The Tamperer and US singer Maya rocketed to the top with 'Feel It'. But 'Hammer To The Heart' is no 'Feel It' - it doesn't come close to the punchy, anthemic qualities of its predecessor, although a chart placing is expected with radio and music TV picking up on the track. It's an odd melange of rock guitar (oh dear!), 70s disco and banging house beats. The chorus is reasonably catchy but doesn't enthral. There's the usual variety of mixes, which are better than the radio edit, although the Dynamic remix uninspiringly echoes the bubbly synth sounds of last year's anthems from the likes of DJ Jean and Alice Deejay.
