Bob Marley workouts topping the charts? Let's jump on the reggae band wagon. Luciano has wasted no time with his cover of 'Police & Thieves', the Junior Murvin roots anthem which is best known from the Clash's 1976 version. Luciano's outing is the single from the film 'Third World Cop' and comes complete with mixes by Dave Lambert and State Of Bengal. Dave's version proves the old adage that house beats and reggae just don't work - remember that other uneasy marriage between techno and reggae in the mid 90s? The State of Bengal mix is more appropriate and gives the tune back its dignity – it's spacious, bass heavy and atmospheric.
