R&B songstress Jamelia follows her Top 40 success with 'I Do' with this intriguing collaboration with Beenie Man. The Smokin Beats Master Blaster Club mix is masterful. The tune rolls in with a gloriously hypnotic, hip swivelling rhythm that evokes the darkest and smokiest of dance halls. Jamelia is only 18 yet her voice is strong and true and is a perfect counterpoint to Beenie Man's sweaty late night vibe. The radio edit is a real contrast. It comes crashing in on an operatic tip, full female vocals and a tinkling harpsichord. Once the song's under way, Jamelia takes control, her voice mixed well up in the tune, and again the great Beenie Man gets into his stride. A little histrionic, but in all a top tune and another fantastic step forward for 21st century R&B.
