More serious UK hip-hop biz emerges from Jazz Fudge in the form of the Phi-Life Cypher who drop their debut very heavily indeed. This three-track single shows the diversity that the scene needs. 'Drop Bombs' proves that the Cypher can let it go over a jazz break just as well as Diamond or Showbiz & AG ever did. 'Earth Rulers' keeps the unique UK sound in place with dive bombing strings and staccato sonic punches carrying the razor rhymes. Wicked stuff.
