Pretty straight-forward stuff from Rawkus, nothing too original, just a straight-up slice of party-rockin' hip hop, tightly produced by Kon, Supe and Dson. Rip Shop take Jeru's premise that "hip hop is in the hospital" and that it was "fake-ass" commercial MCs that put her there. Naturally, our friends step to the mic to rescue hip hop with tight skills and dope rhymes. It's a familiar story but solid, chunky production – sounding like a sort of more accessible Company Flow – rescues this 12" and earns it a place in your party box.
