Released on 31/03/2000
Label: DK
Behold this sneaky little 10" - currently flying out of London's jazzier vinyl emporiums. It's hard to know whether this is the Krome of old school jungle fame or not, but 'The Real Jazz' is a dancefloor belter. It kicks off with raw latin percussion, not a million miles from Shy FX's 'Bambaata'. The break kicks in - then drops out - only for a heavy 4/4 to drop back again. Ohh what a tease. It's distinctive and more funky than your Grandpa's drawers. Fans of Gilles Peterson, latin jazz or Joe Claussell's more percussive moments should mortgage a relative immediately.
