So, finally, the Limp Bizkit phenomenon that has seen the band become the hottest thing second-to-none in the States looks set to take off on this side of the pond. This, Fred Durst and crew's take on Lalo Schifrin's classic theme from Mission Impossible, is tailor-made for the job.
Despite being, in many ways, a lesser production than stand-out tracks like 'Break Stuff', 'Nookie' and 'N2Gether Now' from last year's 'Significant Other' album, 'Take A Look Around' boasts that inescapable Schifrin bass line. With big guitars.
The lyrics seem to stray from the subject at hand a little, seemingly dealing with Durst's anger at the witch-hunt that saw the band's aggressive performance at the Woodstock festival blamed for the disintegration of the event into rape and arson.
Still, Durst's nasally white boy rap and rock delivery keeps things skipping until the inevitable outburst of blind rage is finally executed with ruthless precision. Great fun.
