Janet Jackson releases her keenly awaited, first new material in three years with this popped-up R&B theme tune to Eddie Murphy's multi-starring new movie Nutty Professor II The Klumps, in which she plays his fiance, Denise Gaines.
Janet's old muckers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis twiddle the knobs on this familiar sounding slice of summery fluff, with Jackson's gooey soul vocals conjuring up images of sickly, loved-up grins in blue-skyed videos.
Apart from the key changes there's barely anything of interest here. At least nowt of the calibre of 'Together Again', 'What's It Gonna Be?', 'Got 'Til It's Gone' or, lest we forget, the mighty 'Rhythm Nation'.
And if the vocal mix is as bland as this, just imagine how good the instrumental version is. Damned disappointing fare. Hope her acting is better.
