Formed in 1999, this Californian alt-metal combo features Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan and erstwhile Tool guitar tech Billy Howerdel. Their latest offering is lifted from last year's much praised debut album 'Mer De Noms'. And a powerfully dark slice of hypnotic rock ambience it is too!

With its ominous, rumbling bass, eerie noises and slithering beats this instrumental sounds like a cross between The Cure, the dark side of Depeche Mode and anything from Massive Attack's 'Mezzanine' album. Hardly suprising then that the latter's Robert '3D' Del Naja was roped in to remix the lead version of this track.

Also featured is the compelling 'Feel My Ice Dub' version and the staightforward, guitar-led Pearl Jam feel of the original album track, with vocals. Mighty fine stuff.
