The second track to be plucked from Natural Rhythms' 'Dimensions' album sees West Coast producer Joshua called in to produce an extremely desirable double pack of re-mixes.
Kicking off with the soulful original version, it's jammed full of production gems, ripples with percussive lines and high end tweaks, utilises the sparsest of vocal samples and drives on the axle of a funk infused bass line.
In a deep house vein this is as good as it gets.
So good, in fact, you'd be a fool to mess with it.
Unless you're Joshua, who takes up the mantle with his sublime Afro-dub version, adding afro-broken-beat mayhem to the mix and throwing in Latin jazz keys.
On 'Joshua's Afro House' mix '4U' rolls in on a straight 4/4 kick drum and then everything starts going wrong in the right kind of way, as Latin and funk guitar, piano riffs and brass fills fight against the confines of the rhythm pattern.
The following mixes strip everything back to the raw, at times broken, beats.
At the risk of understating the case, let's just say it's really, rather good.
