Bushes, in the bushes, in the bushes, in the bush... Clare Dietrich's quirky sixties torch vocal characterises and carries this deadly dancefloor decimator.
Originally released on Classic back in 1999 and known for the superb Derrick L Carter remix which flagrantly rocked the underground, 'Bushes' is resurrected with a flamboyant set of remixes that should take this to the top of the charts where it belongs.
Opening with strings and horns, the Norman Cook mix packs amphetamine assisted beats with a chunky and clunky side, loops the vocals and takes the whole thing centrestage.
Doc Martin phases and flanges his way through a steady molten, subterranean work out that strips it down to its essence and uses the vocal to its fullest. And finally the live 'Zero Volt Version' is a gorgeous guitar pop incarnation that will have you clapping along by the end.
It's a hit and it's all about sex and that's alright by me.
