First things first, don't expect another 'Torn'. Nothing could come close to the sweeping success of the angst anthem that propelled Imbruglia from Ramsey Street to Star Street in a few months. It would be unfair to expect it.

Instead the rather unusual kooky 'That Day' heralds the return of Imbruglia who's back older, wiser and thankfully a lot calmer. 'That Day' is a surprising piece of individual guitar-based pop that should prove a lot of people wrong.

With better yet to come expect Australian pop to return to the map without the aid of a skimpy costume or Cathy Dennis.
