The title's a bit of a giveaway. As expected, once we're thorough with the Silent Poets style piano intro, the Eastern vibes make an appearance - all be it subtly.
Think DJ Cam's minimal beats meeting with an arabic/jewish version of Nitin Sawhney's adopted vocals and tabla. Although, compared to Sawhney, the vibe is a little less fluid, and the production more sample based than live, Zohar still manage to create something much more than a run-of-the-mill studio tune.
The acceleration onto a drum and bass track half way through gives this yet more leverage.
The B-sides 'Onethreeseven' sees Zohar aka Erran Baron Cohen (older brother of Sasha) and Andrew Kramer, taking on more of a jazz/funk tip. Also lifted from the duo's recent album release, it hinges on a stunning Arabic vocal and deep basslines.
One for the box.
