Doing the same again was never an option and, as for turning increasing industrial goth metal, you sense that was never his style in the first place. He was driven there.
Because deep down, Corgan can't resist a pop song even if it's buried in the depths of feedback or wailing guitars. The fresh start with Zwan allows him and his new cohorts to be happy for once and shed any doom-laden perceptions.
