Monday was the day rock royalty gathered for this year's Q Awards celebrating 20 years of Q Magazine. Yahoo! Music were there throughout the day with their man on the inside, Colin Murray who was door-stepping the celebrities as they arrived.

Last year Oasis had the best album, but this year they were hailed as best act. Arctic Monkeys deservedly take best album and have done much to re-invigorate music this year. The Killers got best video, so why not take another look at it here!?!?

This year's outstanding contribution went to Smokey Robinson. He hit the ground running in the 60's with The Miracles, and his solo career from the 70's saw him develop his songwriting and production skills. He is, without a doubt, a genius of music and this award acknowledges the impact he's had on modern music. |
